That soaker pic...

1) Merino! Crochet experiment too
2) Peace Fleece yarn. I love this yarn for soakers, though next time I do a Curly Purly waist I'll be using a different yarn for the waist, then PF for the body.
3) Iceland by Crystal Palace yarns, a bulky, in the picnic colorway. CP waist with Fern and Faerie soaker body.
4) Naturally Nazareth from Kraemer Yarns, in the spring colorway. I really want to felt something with this yarn! Makes a nice soaker, holding well with the CP waistband.
5) Manos del Uruguay, absolutely yummy yarn! It didn't hold well with the ribbed waist, but it does make an awesome soaker. I need to make a drawstring for it. I'll use this yarn for soakers again, but not with the CP waistband.
After playing with various patterns, I've decided I like the CP waistband best for my toddler, and the CP soaker bottom too. For my wee babe I like the CP waistband too, tho equally as well as the regular 2x2 ribbed with a drawstring waist. And I prefer the cut of the Fern and Faerie soaker body for her.
Coming soon... a rainbow colorway Blackberry Ridge merino soaker for my wee one. All that's left is to put the leg cuffs on. I'm planning on stockinette or "rolled" cuffs. Oh! And I bought some pink merino to make a uterus with too.
